In Germany, ‘support associations’ (Förderverein) are a common way of supporting activities for children and young people, among other things.
As a support association, we see ourselves as a platform for parents, guardians, grandparents, relatives and other interested parties who want to support our daycare centres financially and practically.
Through grant applications, fundraising and voluntary work, we can facilitate activities and materials that are not covered by the regular budget but have educational value. Examples of this include:
– Purchasing play materials and teaching aids
– Designing and organising events
– Helping with equipment and maintenance for the daycare centres
– Supporting musical, scientific, cultural, sporting and language activities
We are also on Instagram.
Voluntary contributions or donations are always possible and, of course, very welcome.
We raise money for the daycare centres through flea markets and the sale of coffee and buns at various events. We also apply for grants from various foundations and public administrations. In addition, we are of course happy to receive donations.

Who is behind Storasyster?
Storasyster is a non-profit association, formally registered in Berlin under the name ‘Storasyster – Förderverein der Kitas Lillebror und Mucklabo e.V.’. The association was founded by parents of children and staff at the Mucklabo and Lillebror daycare centres. The board consists of both parents and staff.
Who can become a member of Storasyster?

Does Storasyster run preschools/daycare centres in Berlin?
The daycare centres that Storasyster supports in Berlin are run by nobiwerk, not by the Storasyster support association.
